Pastor Kohl comes to Berean Christian Fellowship with many years of Christian leadership experience. He came to know the Lord in 1971 through a Brethren ministry. A year later he was working as the Minister of Missions for Christ Church of Valley Forge (an Independent church). He has pastored several Presbyterian Church In America congregations before again leading an independent Christian Fellowship here in Sandpoint Idaho; Berean Christian Fellowship. With a firm belief in the sufficiency of Scripture, Pastor Kohl seeks to combine a scholarly approach to the Bible, with the life changing power of the Holy Spirit.

Michael and his wife Elizabeth Kohl have lived in Idaho since 1993 and have six grown children.
Michael graduated from Westminster Theological Seminary in Philadelphia where he earned both the Master of Arts in Religion and the Master of Divinity degrees. He has also studied at Reformed Episcopal Seminary (Philadelphia) and at Covenant Seminary in St. Louis. But a close walk with God has been his real training.
